The Passion for Art in Venice

Until 27 November 2011, in evidence among the many events in Venice there is the 54th Biennial International Art Exhibition, also known simply as The Biennale, held at the Biennale Gardens and at the Old Arsenal. This year's exhibition, titled 'Illuminations', by virtue of the power that art has to refine the means of perception and experience what would otherwise remain hidden from the senses, can count on the participation of 83 artists and the presence of some of the best paintings by Tintoretto.

The connection between the author and the show can be best understood in the light of the ability of his works to convey – in those who taste, criticise, interpret them – a light that illuminates and nourishes inner reflection.
